Biliary Interventions

Bile is a fluid produced by the body to aid in digestion. When bile ducts become blocked, bile cannot pass into the intestine and produces a condition called jaundice. A biliary intervention is a procedure that uses image guidance to place a stent (a small mesh tube) into ducts within the liver or gall bladder to allow bile to drain properly.
