Embolization - Chemoembolization Vascular Tumors

Chemoembolization is an interventional radiology procedure that delivers chemotherapy directly into the blood vessels feeding a tumor. This type of cancer treatment is most often used when cancer is limited to a specific organ (such as the liver) and has not spread (metastasized) to other parts of the body.

A vascular tumor is a growth formed from blood vessels. It may be benign or malignant, and can be treated with chemoembolization or thermal ablation.
